Wonde Setup Guide
This guide walks you through connecting Junipa to your Student Information System via the Wonde data platform.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- Wonde account access -- Your school needs to be registered with Wonde. The Junipa team can initiate this if needed.
- School approval -- Your school must approve the data sharing request from Junipa through the Wonde platform.
- Junipa admin access -- You need administrator access to Junipa to configure the integration.
Step 1: Approve Data Sharing in Wonde
- You will receive an email from Wonde requesting approval to share student data with Junipa.
- Click the link in the email to access the Wonde approval portal.
- Review the data fields that will be shared (student names, year levels, enrolment status, etc.).
- Click Approve to grant Junipa access to your student data through Wonde.
If you have not received an approval email, contact the Junipa support team to initiate the request.
Step 2: Configure the Integration in Junipa
Once approval is granted in Wonde:
- Log into Junipa as an administrator.
- Navigate to Administration > Integrations.
- Select Wonde from the list of available integrations.
- Click Connect.
- Junipa will detect your school's Wonde connection automatically.
- Review the connection details and click Confirm.
Step 3: Run the Initial Sync
- After connecting, click Sync Now to pull student data from Wonde.
- The initial sync may take a few minutes depending on the number of students.
- Once complete, navigate to Administration > Students to verify the imported records.
Step 4: Verify the Data
After the initial sync:
- Student names are correctly imported.
- Year levels match your school's structure.
- Enrolment statuses are accurate.
- The total number of imported students is as expected.
If data appears incorrect, check the source data in your SIS first -- Wonde passes through what your SIS provides.
Ongoing Sync
After setup, Junipa syncs with Wonde automatically:
- Syncs run on a scheduled basis (typically daily).
- New students added in your SIS will appear in Junipa after the next sync.
- Updated student details (name changes, year level changes) are reflected automatically.
- Departed students are updated in Junipa to reflect their new status.
Disconnecting the Integration
To disconnect the Wonde integration:
- Navigate to Administration > Integrations in Junipa.
- Select Wonde.
- Click Disconnect.
- Confirm the action.
Existing student data in Junipa is retained after disconnection. Future syncs will stop.
To fully revoke data access, you can also withdraw approval in the Wonde portal.
Getting Help
If you encounter issues during setup:
- Check that approval has been granted in the Wonde portal.
- Verify your SIS is connected to Wonde and data is flowing.
- Contact Junipa support with any error messages you see during the connection process.
