Dashboard Overview
The Dashboard is your primary workspace in Junipa. It provides quick access to your students and their evidence, organised in a way that fits your daily workflow.
Dashboard Views
The dashboard offers two main viewing modes:
Timetable View
The Timetable View displays students based on the current timetable period. This is the default view for most teachers.
- The dashboard automatically shows the students in your current class based on the time of day.
- You can navigate to other periods using the period selector at the top.
- Each student card displays their name, adjustment level, and a summary of recent evidence activity.
- Click on a student's name to open their full profile and evidence log.
Groups View
The Groups View displays students organised by student groups (smart groups, manual groups, or automatic groups).
- Select a group from the dropdown to view its members.
- This view is useful for case managers or administrators who need to see students across multiple classes.
- You can set a default group so the dashboard opens to that group each time.
To switch between views, use the Timetable and Groups tabs at the top of the dashboard.
Searching for a Student
To quickly find a specific student from anywhere in the dashboard:
- Click the Search bar at the top of the dashboard (or use the keyboard shortcut if available).
- Start typing the student's name.
- Matching results will appear as you type.
- Click on the student's name to open their profile.
The search works across all students in your school, not just those in your current view.
Class Profile Access
From the Timetable View, you can access the class profile for any period:
- Navigate to the timetable period you are interested in.
- Click the Class Profile link.
- The class profile shows:
- All students in the class
- Their adjustment levels at a glance
- Evidence count for the current term
- Any students flagged for attention (e.g., insufficient evidence)
This view is particularly useful during NCCD preparation to ensure adequate evidence has been collected for each student in a class.
Dashboard Indicators
The dashboard uses visual indicators to help you quickly assess the status of each student:
- Adjustment level badge -- Colour-coded to indicate the student's current NCCD adjustment level.
- Evidence count -- Shows the number of evidence entries recorded for the student in the current reporting period.
- Last evidence date -- Indicates when evidence was last recorded, helping you identify students who may need attention.
Tips
- Check your dashboard at the start of each day to see which students are in your upcoming classes.
- Use the Groups View for end-of-term evidence reviews to ensure all assigned students have adequate documentation.
- If a student is missing from your timetable view, contact your school administrator to check the timetable configuration.
