Course 4: Planning for census

Census dayFriday 7 August 2026

Census day is the first Friday of August. Everything your school reports for NCCD needs to be accurate and complete before that date: the right students, the right adjustment levels, dated evidence, and filled-in census details.

This course is two short checklists, one for administrators and one for teachers. Each item links to the exact screen in Junipa where the work happens. Tick items off as you go; your progress stays saved in this browser.

SchoolsHUB is becoming the EFS

From 3 August 2026 the non-government schools census is submitted through the new Education Funding System (EFS). Your census data in Junipa is ready for the new system. Read what changes for your school.

Start with a plan

Before any checklist: the strongest census position is a current individual plan for every funded student. A plan is where adjustments, evidence, disability alignment and signatures live together, so census week becomes a review, not a scramble.

The Plans overview shows exactly where you stand. The NCCD without plans tile counts funded students who still have no plan. If that number is not zero, that is the first thing to fix.

If you have students without plans, start here:

Adjustment plans do the same job for students whose support is adjustment-first: they keep every adjustment dated, aligned to need, and visible to the whole team.

Pick your checklist

Send the right link to the right people: administrators get the cohort checklist, teachers get the adjustments checklist. Both pages stand alone.
