Student Activity
The Student Activity report helps schools find students who have real support activity in Junipa but may not yet have a clear NCCD reporting decision.
This matters because the final census list can look tidy while important students sit just outside it. Student activity is the signal to look again.
When to use this report
Use Student Activity when you want to find students with recent work recorded against them:
- case notes
- evidence entries
- adjustment changes
- plan edits
- attachments
- staff follow-up
Activity does not automatically mean a student should be included in NCCD reporting. It means someone should check the student record and make a deliberate decision.
What to look for
Focus on students who are active but marked as not included, unclassified or unclear.
Useful review questions are:
- Has the student received an adjustment because of disability?
- Is the adjustment still happening?
- Is there evidence that explains the adjustment?
- Is the disability category clear?
- Is the adjustment level clear?
- Is the student deliberately not included, or have they been missed?
How teachers can help
Teachers can often answer the question faster than a report can. Ask the teacher who knows the student:
- "What support is actually happening in class?"
- "How often does the support happen?"
- "Is this ordinary differentiation for the class, or a disability adjustment for this student?"
- "What note, file or example can we add so the record is clear?"
The report points to the student. The teacher helps explain the story.
A weekly review pattern
- Open Student Activity.
- Sort or scan for recent activity.
- Find students who are active but not included.
- Open the student record and check evidence, adjustments and plan history.
- Decide whether the student should remain not included or needs reporting follow-up.
- Record the decision in language another staff member can understand.
What a good outcome looks like
After review, every active student should fall into one of three clear groups:
- Included in NCCD reporting with evidence that explains the adjustment.
- Not included, with a clear reason the school can stand behind.
- Needing follow-up, with a named staff member and next action.
That is the value of the Student Activity report. It helps schools find the students who might otherwise be missed.
