Search and export

Search is for finding the right student, report or follow-up quickly. Exporting is for taking a filtered view out of Junipa when a school needs to review, share or file the work.

The aim is simple: data comes in and out easily, just as quickly as it goes in.

Search for a student

Teachers can search by student name when they need to add evidence, check a plan or review recent activity. Keep the search plain:

  • Use the student's preferred name or surname.
  • Open the student record before adding new information.
  • Check the student summary before changing adjustment details.
  • Use the dashboard if you are starting from a class, group or timetable view.

If you are unsure which student record is right, stop and check with the learning support team before adding evidence.

Search for school work

School leaders and case managers usually search from the page that matches the job:

Export from the view you trust

Export only after the view has the right filters. This keeps the file useful for review and reduces rework later.

  1. Open the report or student list.
  2. Apply the year level, group, status, evidence or adjustment filters.
  3. Check the visible rows before exporting.
  4. Export the file for the meeting, audit check or local school record.
  5. Keep the exported file in the school's approved storage location.

For NCCD review, start with the Audit Report, Evidence Log and NCCD Overview. These reports keep the export tied to the same record teachers and case managers use inside Junipa.

Bring data in cleanly

Most school data should come through the connected student management system rather than a manual spreadsheet. Plan this during setup so student records, school fields and identity details stay consistent.

Use Integrations to check supported student management systems, SSO authentication and connection options. If your school needs help with the setup path, use Get started or contact Junipa from junipa.com.au.

Keep exports teacher-friendly

Exports should answer a specific question. A short, filtered file is easier for teachers to trust than a large file with every possible column.

  • Name the purpose before exporting: audit check, evidence follow-up, attachment check or meeting preparation.
  • Export the smallest useful set of students.
  • Share only with staff who need the information.
  • Return to Junipa for the live record before making final decisions.

See Junipa updates for product changes that affect reporting, imports or exports.
