Junipa Data Fields

Junipa Data Fields are plan template fields that fill themselves from the student record. Template authors place the field once. Every plan built from the template then shows the live value for that student, with no retyping and no drift from the record.

Indigenous Status

Indigenous Status resolves from the value recorded on the student's page in Administration > School > Students. It displays using the census labels:

  • I. Indigenous
  • N. Not Indigenous
  • NS. Not stated

If the school has not recorded a value, the field shows Not provided.

Adding a Junipa Data Field to a template

  1. Open the template in the Plan Template Builder.
  2. In the block builder, open the Junipa Data category and choose the field. In the classic builder, drag the field from the Student Data palette.
  3. Fields carry a Junipa badge so you can tell them apart from manual fields.
  4. Save and publish the template.
Existing templates

A manual field in an older template does not upgrade itself. If your template has a manually built Indigenous Status question, delete it and add the Junipa Data version. Values already typed into saved plans are never overwritten.
